One could say self-care is a vital piece to living well. Would you like to live a healthy lifestyles? One of the biggest parts I’ve noticed in the vast majority of people I’ve talk to is that most people who feel body tension, muscle aches and cracked skin have been neglecting self-care. Spending a little time each day to care for ourselves makes us better at everything we do.
One of my favorite ways to keep up with self-care is to take a nice long bath salt bath at the end of the day. I call it my Soak-My-Day-Away Detox Bath. It’s easy and can be done at home on your own time.
Soak and Relax Bath salts (aka magnesium sulfate) create a wonderful soak for your body. You’ll absorb some of the bubbling magnesium through your skin to help relax your muscles, and the essential oils dissolves into the skin and allows the body to boost energy, relieves stress, calms your nerves and improves skin conditions.
HOW-TO-SOAK-THE-DAY-AWAY-WITH BATH SALT
• Run a tub full of warm to hot water of your liking
• Add several scoops of bath salts
• Soak for 20 minutes. Any easy way to remember this bath is Run-Scoop-20 minutes.
Dim the lights, light a candle and add some peaceful music or nature sounds for an even deeper relaxing effect. Take your time to just relax and breathe. If you soak for 20 minutes to allow the salts to pull the toxins from your pores, you won’t run any risk of re-absorbing the impurities. Once your body is done relaxing you should feel rejuvenated. This would lead you to a successfully completed self-care day.
